Anyone following all the drama around MomTok? The group of young Mormon influencers and some were swingers?

No |
I was really struck by how young and beautiful they all are! I guess living in DC you get a warped perspective on how people look -- tired and frumpy! |
Yes, it's all very odd and feels like a publicity stunt.

Dat nose tho Kidding, sort of. Mormons place a religious emphasis on looks and plastic surgery and other enhancements are encouraged |
I think exposing everything is absolutely to drive traffic and revenue to their accounts. But I also think it’s the truth. GenZ puts everything online. EVERYTHING. |
Mormons tend to get married quite young since they abstain from sex before marriage. |
Are they actually members of the church now though? I’m surprised with their clothing, dancing, language and drinking, they weren’t kicked out a long time ago. |
A friend of mine worked for a company that supplied implants for women's chests (won't type the term here) to plastic surgeons. In the entire US, Utah was their best market. He said a lot of it was the women were 30 and already had a few kids, so wanted to get things back in order. |
And this group then decided to sow their oats after marriage. |
I've been trying to follow but it's not captivating for me. I don't think they've been swinging or soft swinging or whatever. I think the one girl outing everyone cheated and she made this up to draw attention away from that. I think she cheated with one of the other husbands and instead of just taking the heat she made up this stupid story. I bet they've all made out with eachother in hot tubs but that's about it. All the Mormons I've ever known are very prudish. Sincerely doubt there's some Mormon influencer/swinging circle. |
That’s how she’s defining “soft swinging”. |
No, unfortunately I'm currently stuck on Foster Pawrent Tok and my heartstrings can't handle it.
Maybe I'll do some searches to get off the sads for a bit. |
MomTok isn’t sad. It’s more watching a trainwreck (even before the swinging). |
This is the most bizarre sub sub sub culture. I don’t know these people but we do have mutual friends and the pressure to be hot is so real. All the plastic surgery, hair extensions, fake tans, ugh.
But I do think this Taylor person and maybe others are claiming the Mormon label mostly for TikTok clout. I’ve never been a fan of people saying somebody who drinks coffee isn’t allowed to call themselves Mormon but when you do that and didn’t get married in the temple, drink, never go to church, and aren’t making some good faith attempt to claim the community despite conflicted beliefs, but all your TikTok’s are about being Mormon, that’s suspicious. And this isn’t even taking into consideration the swinging. But I do know “Mormon” swingers, ha. |
