New ACHS Security Measures

I hope the Council is proud of themselves.

I wonder if any of them are bright enough to have thought about what reopening in August will look like.

I mean, it's not like all the Hispanics are going to move by then.

The Council, school board, and Hutchings are indeed very proud of themselves, just ask them. Their stated plan (approved by voters) to turn Alexandria into a example of a progressive city is being implemented on multiple fronts. This incident happened due to the pandemic of racism that our leaders have identified. ACHS is on an anti-racism journey. Within 6 years there will no longer be any whites in attendance which should help.

They can take them out for the metal detector like we do at airports.

This was an off-campus stabbing. Metal detectors at school would not have prevented the incident.

You don't know that and you don't know whether he had the knife at school (hint- he did).

Of course he did.

Where are these gangs? This is the first I've seen or heard of them.

There was an AlxNow article that interviewed some of the gang members in attendance at the fight (they flashed gang signs for the reporter's photographer). They said they wouldn't share the video with police because they don't trust them. Probably isn't a good idea to give video to the police when you're planning retaliation.

Then the City Council is winning the information campaign. The Alexandria based ones operate, mainly, in Arlandria. If you google Arlandria and gangs and MS13 you will find everything you need to know.

Are you new here?

this task force has been around for a while. In fact they are hosting a community cookout soon. hint- the locations where they are being held are where you can find gang members

Literally, the only HS in the entire city of Alexandria is closed for security concerns.

Let that sink in.

The biggest HS in the entire state of Virginia is shut because the city can't provide for the safety of the students.

Like, what the actual eff?

Because the rich parents don’t care bc they are spending their time calling around to get a private school spot for their child for next year. The other parents just don’t care or think it’s the schools problems.

We are paying attention. How about everyone contacts the school board with their concerns. Contact the newspapers while you're at it. Show them we are paying attention and they need to do better!

Remember that time, MS-13 members dumped a body at that playground in Beverly Hills? Murdered a guy behind Cora Kelly? No?

I remember this. The body was decapitated.

Well, NBC and ABC didn't whisper a peep about this last night.

Why are they sweeping this under the rug?

Local news affiliates both reported on this yesterday.

There were news reporters all around the school building.

False. They reported on the murder, not the school closure.

APD arrested the stabber. 16 year old.

Virginia doesn't mess around with murder. If he's lucky he isn't a citizen and will simply be deported.

Ugh 16. So young to throw your life away
