Wide range of schools and the kids I know did a good job of looking for what suited their goals and personalities rather than status.

One that got into several 5% schools. Statistically improbable so I can’t help but be curious.

I don’t believe for a second Langley has six seniors going to Yale.

I’m a Langley parent and I don’t believe that either. I know of one going to Yale and two going to UPenn, as well as the others listed. Of course, there could be more I don’t know about.

Not a single Langley student got into Yale school or Harvard my daughter’s year. Six are not going this year.

If there were six Langley seniors going to Yale this fall, we all would have heard about it already many times over.

Congratulations to the one senior going there, and to all the rest of the soon-to-be graduates as well.

Ok, I'm the PP and I just checked the Senior Scope which my senior brought home today. There are indeed five listed there going to Yale - and there could be more because a lot of students didn't submit this information. So the first poster was actually correct.

According to the Senior Scope, you are wrong.

That's a great list. I see lots of UVA, W&M, VA Tech, and other state schools but also see:

Dartmouth
Berkley
Princeton
MIT
Bowdoin
Colgate
Duke
Chapel Hill
Notre Dame
Tulane
Wesleyan
Parsons

However, of all the colleges I've seen listed on these Instagram pages, this is my first time coming across this one: https://circadium.com. That is pretty cool!

Is this the school newspaper? Could you share some other stats?

We are zoned for Langley and trying to decide if we should send our smart but not stand out kid to Langley.

Is this the school that just had a fatal stabbing? Seems to back the theory that’s it’s good to be one of the best students at at the worst school.

Is this tc Williams?

We lived in Alexandria when we first moved to dc. I remember hearing about Yale or jail for the Alexandria high school. I believe it had a daycare for all the teenage moms.

Yes, thrilled to see all the great schools ACHS kids are going to. Also really impressed with Wheaton HS Class of 22 page in MCPS.

I’m just repeating what I heard a decade ago. I have no idea what the school is like now. This is just what I remember from a decade ago. We lived in Alexandria with a baby and toddler back then.

So, not really “the other half” at all. The same schools are on both lists.

Waiting for you both to come back and admit you were wrong.

I am a Langley parent and I know of at least 3 going to Yale, two of whom are going based on academics, so if 3 more are going based on athletics, then it wouldn't surprise me.
