Tech or W&M, which school has the more liberal student body?

Really weird question. Is you're child going to school to learn or become a political idealogue? Both are great schools with something for everyone on either side of the political spectrum and there is nothing wrong with that, it's called real life.

Not anymore.

You can say the same about people being very vocal on their liberal views - they are dumber/louder/brasher on average.

Look, none of the Virginia state colleges is particularly liberal compared to the top private colleges, but all have plenty of liberals -- including Tech. I wouldn't base a decision on which VA state college to attend on the basis of politics.

Off topic, but I don't get how young people can be conservative. So weird.

Was there in the early 90's and never expeiences this nor heard of anyone else experiencing it either.

I've had three kids attend VT and none have *ever* experienced this.

I haven't either and I've taught both there and at UVA. Some idiots say stuff like that - or "it's Trump country" - when it isn't - or "there are confederate flags" when there aren't. . These are mostly bored college students or young men who got kicked off College Confidential so are here to make trouble

I actually think they're resentful parents whose kids didn't get in.

Perhaps. I’ve also thought it was the college-aged goons from competitor colleges. Nothing else better to do in a dorm on a slow night

W&M, no question

It’s possible OPs child is gender neutral, trans, or something like that and is just looking for the safer environment for their child.
