Jesus, I would hope so!! You made your child sit in feces and urine for nearly two years for nothing!
At seven I hear they potty train easily too. |
Typically, one changes the diapers. It's right in the instructions on the package
|
Immediately and after every urination? I doubt it. |

People are so judgmental. I tried potty training my DS at 2.5, he was extremely resistant and fought it like crazy. I backed off and tried again shortly after he turned 3, and it was super easy, almost no accidents at all. Potty training your child early doesn't mean you're a better parent. It means...you potty trained your child early. That's it.
Congrats OP! |
+1. So gross. |
You should have trained at 20 months. No resistance. -nanny here who has easily potty trained ten children from three different families before 23 months. |
I assume you potty trained your children at birth, then? Never put them in diapers? Or is it only ok for babies and younger toddleres to sit in feces and urine? |
No resistance...also no ability to tell when they need to go or stay dry unless they are proactively placed on the potty multiple times a day |
I trained three boys at 20 months. I certainly wouldn’t keep them in diapers longer than necessary!! |
Not at all. All my charges could tell me when they needed to pee/poop (two signed it) and I never, ever proactively ask a child to use the potty except before we leave the house. The ability is there, PP. |

My kids were going to a montessori pre school at age 3 and they had a rule about not wearing diapers at school.
My D trained at about age two and my S at about two and a half. Waiting until three and a half seems a bit of a stretch. |
Not true. DS potty trained at 22 months and told us when he needed to go to the bathroom and we never prompt him. That’s part of the way Oh Crap works - you let the toddler recognize the signs. |
+1000 Same, my kid was trained by 20 months, within a week or so with only one or two accidents. Super gross to be changing a 3 year olds diapers! |
I think you meant to say, “Good for her! Not for me.” |
Also super gross to leave your kids in pullups until they're basically off to school. Those are just an invention by companies trying to figure out how to keep kids in diapers longer. Trained is trained, barring any medical issues. |
