Yay for you. All kids are different, yet everyone ends up potty trained.


That’s actually not true. Toileting issues are quite common and some kids never achieve toilet independence.


Never? There are certainly times there's a medical reason. But I am fairly certain that I don't know any kids who have NEVER learned to use the toilet on their own.

Since no one ever seems to come in and say this on these threads, I will. I spent 9 days of naked oh crap with my son at 22 months and he was not remotely potty trained at the end. He did learn some things, but it was not “a success” by any stretch of the imagination.

He went back in diapers. At 27 months it was easy. Just another data point from the “everyone should just do it at 20 months!” Issue.
