Talk to the school Principal and guidance counselor. Do not send an anonymous letter.
Kids who bully are usually bullied themselves (likely at home) and need help. |
No I think rates were going down and it was a story about refinancing. I can barely recall. They just picked the next person who came into the bank to do it and asked if we’d like to be featured as an example. |

I sent an anonymous letter Reporting my one annoying neighbor to police for running an illegal business out of home and excessive cars in street, I also sent a copy to zoning board.
Same day I send letter reporting the other neighbor for bushes too high. The two idiots thought that ratted each Other out. |
| Yes. I had a neighbor, a single dad that had money problems. I got a gift card and wrote a note but didn't identify myself, I wanted to remain anonymous. Then I dropped it in his mail slot. |
| Op again. The school has been notified, many times. The parents have been notified--many times. By me and by others. I don't know why this kid keeps getting away with it. That's why I thought a different tactic may help. |

I anonymously wrote a letter to a down the street neighbor that had piles of yard sale stuff on their front porch that they were buying and hoarding. I pointed out taht no one else on the block had a front porch like that and please clean it up. Left it in their mailbox one night and within 2 days, voila, clean porch.
That was 20 years ago and it's never returned. The bullying sounds quite different, though. |
An anonymous letter won't get results. The person will throw it away. Have you reached out to a mental health specialist? Police? (If reaching out to police, use the non-emergency number. Say "I don't know who I should talk to. What do you recommend? I don't want this to escalate and be something far worse." Tell them school principal/staff hasn't been responsive.) Have you escalated this within your school system? |
Maybe the kid has SN the school is aware of or lives in a family environment particularly challenging. If that’s the case an anonymous letter from you would really not accomplish anything |
Yes, 9 year old me marched down the street and stuck it in his mailbox. Which I now realize is probably illegal and i would be mortified if my own child behaved this way
|
| One time a mom emailed me about my sons behavior towards her son. I was mortified by what she shared, and apologized. Then we talked with my son about it, he agreed to stay away from the other kid. Don’t send an anonymous note, talk openly with the parent. |
ha ha. good stuff PP. at least you didn't knock on the door and gave it to him personally. |
| I posted something anonymously in my office 35 years ago. The city had passed a no-smoking ordinance in offices and it wasn't being enforced. My cubicle was next to an office with a smoker and shared two walls with smokers. It had been horrible and I was so looking forward to a smoke-free workplace, but the leadership team punted on it. So I photocopied newspaper articles on the ban as well as enforcement of it and hung them on the central bulletin board as well as in the office kitchen. A few were ripped down and one of the people near me would complain about the postings. Finally, they announced the ban was going into effect. I was so, so happy. |
Maybe in this case because I understand what you mean there are consequences for those that tell. |
I did something similar after meeting a family with money problems. I mailed it from the post office. |
this is infuriating and so hurtful. I am so sorry that someone did that to you |
