Have you every sent an anonymous letter/note?

Yes, I have sent one. Asking my Indian neighbor to keep his dog inside when weather gets freezing cold. Didn't work.

Do everything and anything you can to combat bullying. First, keep pressing the school and school board. Do not stop going through proper channels.

But yes, send the letter. Write it as if you are a group of parents “we are the parents of children who have suffered at the hands of your troubled child”. Stress the fact that you understand that the bully is also suffering but that his behavior toward the children can’t continue. Give a couple of the worst examples. Ask the parents to please help.

Also, contact a lawyer about suing the school if they continue to do nothing.

This is cracking me up. You were a tiny psycho, but it’s still hilarious!

LOL. How did you deliver the letter? Went down to his house and hand-delivered?

I used to do this at that age too. Watched too many mystery shows. But I never had the guts to actually deliver the letter.

Why did you specify the neighbor’s ethnicity — do you see that as relevant to the problem of how he (mis)treats his dog?

no but I've received one.
We were in the newspaper for refinancing our house about 20 years ago, with it pictured behind us. Obvi we were too young to have such a great house.
Someone send a note with the clipping that said something weird that I don't remember but the implication was that they were super jealous.

A neighbor left a note in our mailbox complaining that sometimes she/he got stuck behind our disabled child's bus in front of our house in the afternoon (child had to be detached from a harness and buckled in to a wheelchair-it never took more than a few minutes), and could we move the bus stop to the corner? For ten years, I have wondered which neighbor is the a-hole.

Christ.

Someone on my street had bags of mulch sitting under their trees for a year. I left them a note asking them if they knew they were supposed to take the mulch out of the bags. The mulch came out of the bags that week.

I don't really understand what sending such a letter would do. It sounds like the bully's parents would know it is you.

I received one about 25 years ago. My college roommate & I had had a falling out over something stupid. Her BF (whom I knew during college) sent some sort of letter to me. No return address, but it was clearly his handwriting. I don't remember what it said. But I still remember getting the letter and getting pissed upon reading it about the passive-aggressiveness.

Roommate & her BF married a year later. We're all back to being decent enough friends. The stupid thing that we had the falling out over has long been squashed.

This is hilarious!! Just trying to imagine the conversation between the spouses on your note.

If you have gone to the school and they still don’t do anything, I would teach my child to physically stand up for themselves. Be prepared that your child will probably get suspended for hitting another child, but I would do it.
