he's making murka great again by ending CRT which isn't taught at any school but if it were he'd stop it

What is murka?

It’s an attempted liberal put down of average Americans who lean conservative.

+1000.

Current SB is extremely radical and out of touch with what’s best for our children.

They were elected by the majority of voters. The Governor forcing school board terms to end prematurely is highly questionable interference in local government.

I don’t think it will really matter. The majority of the seats will still be Dem.

It’s a thankless job with sucky pay. No wonder no one decent wants it on either side.

I had no idea this was a thing. Has this been done before?

I wish he would do this for FCPS too!

Many of us wish that could be possible. Let’s stop with the recalls and let voters decide. I think all school boards should have staggered election cycles. I’d be happy if he put half of them up for re-election next year.

Meanwhile, FCPS’s main choice to replace Braband is under qualified and was the first person to advocate for shutting down schools in her home Washington State.

Under qualified how? Wasn’t Washington one of the first states to get hit by Covid?

They were elected to four year terms and he's trying to make them run for re-election after only three. He amended a good bill -- creating staggered terms -- and turned it into something that can't even be legal.

I can only imagine this will be challenged in court. Definitely seems like an illegal maneuver.

OK, then elect them again.

So the governor should just unilaterally decide when local elections will happen, shortening the terms of elected officials?

It should have an effective date of like 2025 or something

No problem. It’s not like they will lose.

?? America is a center-left country. The average American leans liberal, not conservative.

I mean, a Republican has won the popular vote for president just one time in the last 34 years.

No, there is a radical group and it isn't the school board. You nutjobs are wasting so much of our money because youa want to destroy the public school system here to support that insane church in Leesburg which is trying to open a school. You people are ignorant, racist, and against democracy.

It really makes more sense to be honest about these things than to continue to try and gaslight people. Just be honest. This is why we have a D governor now, because people were fed up with the lies and gaslighting. Don't say that someone's car getting pulled over and searched by dogs is Loudoun's "George Floyd moment." That is counter productive.
