LCPS School Board - Youngkin changed the election cycle

Anonymous
Sounds like it’s more an issue that some Democratic legislators don’t want to be on the record as opposing a measure that would allow people to replace some highly unpopular School Board members earlier.

I can't believe how dumb people are. Authoritarians don't put things up for real votes.

You have to be aware of the definition that Liberals use for certain words:

Authoritarian: anything I don't like

Constitutional Issue: anything that is important to me

Constitutional Crisis: when I don't get my way on things that are important to me

Yes, they try to get their supporters to over turn election results

So do I understand this right? They're trying to move the election up for this cycle to capitalize on a political moment in which the right may win. In other words, they don't want to wait till the next cycle because all this faux outrage might be diminished?

They put a lot of work into their wedge issues.

Better act fast before the mob moves onto another issue.

I had no idea this was a thing. Has this been done before?

I wish he would do this for FCPS too!

Many of us wish that could be possible. Let’s stop with the recalls and let voters decide. I think all school boards should have staggered election cycles. I’d be happy if he put half of them up for re-election next year.

Meanwhile, FCPS’s main choice to replace Braband is under qualified and was the first person to advocate for shutting down schools in her home Washington State.

Will be interesting to see if arrests happen.

Liberals need to realize they're on the wrong side of the school closing issue. LCPS was virtual all of the 2020-21 school year and it sucked.

I totally agree.

Liar.

It was not virtual “all of 2020-21”.

You're right, they gave the option for in-person, then freaked out when cases went up a little bit and shut it down again.

Still sucked.

He is the best Governor we've had in decades. He's actually doing what the majority of people want him to do. Shocking behavior for an elected official.

Terry lost. Live with the consequences. BTW - if anyone knew how to corrupt the system, it's good ol' Terry.

They actually do because it creates the perception of a functioning democracy. Read up and learn about authoritarian/totalitarian democracy. It is a real thing that has happened throughout history and signs indicate the US has some characteristics of this. We wouldn’t have had January 6th, an attempted self-coup, without a broken democracy that’s hanging by a thread.
