That’s ridiculous! There are no black kids at Little Flower in Bethesda!

So in year 3 the school has to close and force students to miss a total of 3.5 in person days (spring break starts Wednesday). The school has been open with no outbreaks since sept 2020. Meanwhile publics and many privates were closed for…how long? This is nbd. It remains a great school that has done a great job throughout the pandemic keeping kids learning and thriving. Haters gonna hate!

I know things happen but it seems that Little Flower School could have done more to control the numbers. Like skipping the Father Daughter Dance last Saturday when the school already had covid cases. So Frustrating

You clearly aren’t a LF parent because there are several factual errors in your story that anyone with a child at the school would know.

I think the school itself is doing as well as they can with an extremely difficult parent group on their hands.

Yes apparently some parents were angry when they dropped masks at recess! Yikes!

The link is very helpful. Thanks

These parents are welcome to go back to public school. The school’s culture changed dramatically with the influx of public school families fleeing pandemic closures.

I disagree. These types of events are an essential part of the school communities. More schools need to bring them back.

And this is why you have a problem

It seems that LF got overly comfortable as masks dropped. If they had evidence of positive cases in even one class then it would have made sense to postpone any large group social events.

Bring them back during an outbreak during the school year?

Gross take

On their website Little Flower still has openings for Pre-K.
Maybe they overly expanded during pandemic and can't fill those spaces since schools have returned to in person?

No need to be so judgemental either way. People should stop covid-trolling schools. They are all trying their best and it is not a moral failing if there is a cluster of cases.

Some of these are concerning! Beltsville Adventist School has an outbreak of 21 cases in a school of just over 200 students. Yikes!
