Little Flower School Closed Due to Covid Outbreak

Due to Covid outbreak, LFS has gone to virtual learning (teachers offer 45 minutes of instruction a day) Wondering if any other schools in the area have had the same experience? I know things happen but it seems that Little Flower School could have done more to control the numbers. Like skipping the Father Daughter Dance last Saturday when the school already had covid cases. So Frustrating

Not at all surprised.

Yes, the next wave is here. It's going to be an ugly end to the school year.

You clearly aren’t a LF parent because there are several factual errors in your story that anyone with a child at the school would know.

I really hope other schools take note because these parent social gatherings are ridiculous. Can we please keep kids in school and forego things like father daughter dances?!

I think the school itself is doing as well as they can with an extremely difficult parent group on their hands.

I disagree. These types of events are an essential part of the school communities. More schools need to bring them back.

And this is why you have a problem

There was a huge Jack and Jill (African American org.) teen conference a week ago attended by lots of private school kids. BIG outbreak. Dumb idea and no quality control. It will definitely be going through the private schools soon.

What “difficult parent group”?
A single grade pretty much spread it around. Given it is prek to 8 school - most families have siblings throughout the school so it is easy to see what was going to happen. It spread like wildfire. MOCo required the shut down - which is unfortunate as we are all aware of how poor online learning is for all.

You proved my point. Tough parent groups.

Let's blame an outbreak in the whitest part of the county on black people!

The conference was a National Harbor which is pretty black actually.

You have no point. The facts are what they are. Unfortunate for all involved.
