Best Jarred Salsa

No there's fresh salsa and fresh Pico where I shop. Right now I'm really into Cactus Jack's- bought a big container from Costco.

If you must get a jar I like Wegmans roasted salsa Verde or just roasted tomato

It’s not in a jar per se, but we’re addicted to the Trader Joe’s extra hot habanero ghost pepper salsa. It’s not as hot as it sounds.

In the grocery store aisle I think the best salsa is herdez. We got it a lot in Texas growing up and for a long time you couldn’t get it up here. I had my family mail it to me in cans when I was stationed in the Middle East.

+1. Actually opened the thread to post this. It's our go-to, although we don't buy salsa very often. Frontera is Rick Bayless's brand btw.

This. Their corn salsa is also good.

Trader Joe’s or Pace

I can’t stand grocery salsa because of the cilantro - tastes like soap to me

Chipotle is the smokier version.

I also like Herdez Caesar medium.

Pace Chunky Salsa. There is no substitute.

Okay white bread

Go away. It’s delicious and very fresh tasting for a jarred salsa. But you are so wrapped up in your phony posh try hard BS that you feel the need to denigrate an internet stranger over salsa.

Jacks tastes like restaurant. I like this recipe for when you want to make it. It uses some canned ingredients but doesn’t taste canned.

It makes a lot and only tastes good for probably 3-4 days so I make it for a crowd.

PACE IS JUNK

If that's your answer, your opinion is invalid.

I usually go for the organic brands and brands like Green Mountain Gringo, but recently tried a jar from Target that was crazy good. I remember looking it up on the website and it had amazing reviews. I think it was their Good and Gather brand. And I’m kind of what DH would consider a picky food shopper. I only like local house fried tortilla chips.

I love pace mild. Sorry. I’m not sorry.

For salsa I use pace, for pico de gallo I make it myself. They aren’t the same thing!
