Best Jarred Salsa

Anonymous
I love good restaurant salsa, have tried and failed to make anything decent.

Is there any clear favorite jarred salsa? Every random jar I try is worse than the last! I’m an ok cook, but rely on stuff like Raos marinara and short cuts during the week.

Thanks!!

Garden Fresh Salsa in the refrigerator section near the salads

I love that Senor Fields from Whole Foods. The smoky roasted flavor is on point.

Mateo’s is my favorite. They have it at Costco sometimes.

"Not responsible for obsession"! But we're obsessed. I buy five jars at a time for the times when Costco isn't carrying it.

It’s so good. I like it even more with some chopped fresh cilantro. Good way to use it up when I buy a bunch for a recipe.

You should try the fresh salsa in the deli department. Most major grocery stores have it in the refrigerated section, usually near the hummus. Head and shoulders above any jarred salsa. I will never go back.

Y’all are talking about pico de gallo rather than salsa. Two different things.

+1. We liked Frontera's chipotle salsa, but our Giant stopped carrying it.

Chef Eloy. It's local and he's at a few farmers markets in Nova. Used to be in a few Whole Foods as well but we moved away from them.
