AAP Results

During the school year 2019-2020, DC had cogat on 10/1-3/20 then received AAP result email on 4/13/20 - right after spring break, so maybe another 2 weeks. Enjoy your spring break and good luck everyone.

How'd you get the GBRS, or are you speaking about a previous year? Our AART won't release until after decisions are sent out.

I requested and received my child’s AAP packet from my AART.

I asked for the packet and was told I can get it once the results are out.

That’s inconsistent with what is happening at other schools. I’d ask again.

Other schools are actually violating FCPS guidance which is to release packets after results are out. Be happy that your AART is willing to release it early.

No violation at all. We were able to get packets for both of our AAP kids before decisions were sent out.

FCPS policy is to not release the packets until after the decision is announced. AARTs releasing packets before that are violating the policy. No one is going to report them or complain about it because it makes the Parents life easier. The people who are disappointed are the Parents whose AARTs are following the policy.

Link to the policy?

I’ve never seen them send results out before spring break. They time it so the results go out right before the break so parents have time to cool down before being able to contact someone. This year could be different - but I’d expect results right before break.

Click the link to see the official timeline. According to this March 28 or 29 is when they will send out result to schools and parents. The might delay it until Thursday as after that Friday is teacher workday and then it’s spring break.

Do all decisions -- acceptances and rejections -- go out at the same time? And do people find out via email, letter or sis first?
Anonymous
Yes all decisions come at the same time. Not sure but we will get an email first and then a mail in a few days.

Last year the email came on Friday morning.

Yes, and they were over a week late from their own timeline. Results came out after spring break.
