I heard kids that were automatically under consideration due to qualifying NNAT or COGAT score have been notified.

Can anyone confirm this?

Nope. My kid was in pool (which I assume is what you mean by automatically under consideration) and we have not gotten any decision or notification. Probably come late next week.

And where did you hear it? Someone who got in told you? My kid’s COGAT was very high and we haven’t received any results yet. As far as I know, only private school/homeschool kids got their results.

First PP coming back to clarify - we did get notification that my child was in-pool, as they do every year. So if you mean that notification it’s true. But no to notification that is a decision on eligibility.

Another poster whose DC was in pool. We received a notice that DC was in pool last December, but we haven't heard beyond that.

No we didn’t hear. And my kid scored super high on both so I would be shocked if the kid didn’t get in.

But hopefully we will find out next week.

High score doesn't guarantee admission. A lot of hearts and hope about to be broken.

I believe it does if child is also level 2 and testing above grade level.

FPYCparent wrote:A letter from the AART (Providence ES) came home with DD2 yesterday stating that she had been "nominated" to the county committee for Level IV. (We didn't self-refer ... or whatever the proper term is.) The letter stated we should be a 'yea' or 'nay' letter from the county on/around April 4th. If we get a 'nay,' the AART recommends we appeal ... again, per the letter.

We didn't self-refer for DD1, but she got in and we moved her to the center school (Mosby, now Mosiac) for grades 3 - 6. DD2 test scores are better than DD1, numerically speaking ... they're just several grades/years apart.

Dear parent, how did your daughter like the Mosaic AAP? We have no experience with this school. Scores are in range (COGAT 140 / NNAT 135), so admission is a possibility. Thank you.
