My oldest was a beautiful baby. He's still a good-looking kid and hasn't really had an awkward phase yet (he's 11).
My younger son took a while to grow into his face but he's a cute kid now (9). |

This. I have a friend who recently said “I’m constantly shocked at how objectively traditionally good looking my kids are.” Lol. The word objective made me laugh. And yes she and her husband are totally insufferable about their kids. When I met her when they were toddlers she was already calling her oldest a “heartbreaker.” |
I have a friend who uses this terminology about her and my 7 year old girls and only SOME of their classmates. I’m no saint but I hate talking about kids this way. She’s done it since they were toddlers. |
| My boy was beautiful the day he was born. He continues to be super good looking at 5 years old. When I look back at old pictures, I think that he is super cute, but I should have washed his hair more. |

Opposite. I always thought mine was a normal-looking kid. I look back & she could have been in a catalog.
Now? Not so much. Definitely an awkward tween. |
Same, I can't stand this terminology because a) you're sexualizing little kids and b) you're proud they might emotionally hurt others by rejecting them? Wtf. |
| I still think my now 11yo was the cutest 2-4yo ever. |
