OP ,if this is new, then consider medical check up. This was my mom about 2 years ago--I coudln't figure out if I was not being clear, or what, but it was like suddenly she was not processing or hearing me. It was not sinking in. Now, its clear that she's having some more significant cognitive and memory problems. She's 80, but its very sad. She's a brilliant woman who spent her life reading, learning languages, and teaching at the college level. She can still use those higher functions, but she is also befuddled by some very simple things and doesn't remember what i told her from one minute to the next.
also, did she have covid? Can cause some brain fog and memory/cognitive issues in people over 50. 58 is young but my friend's mother's alzheimers started then-by mid 60s she was completely unable to function. For both your sakes, I hope its not that. |
