Can the Mackage coat lover explain the appeal? Look pretty basic to me.

For me: A convertible car (chocolate brown with tan leather interior or off white) ala Alpha Romeo (sp?); a home in California on or near the beach; great food; fresh flowers; and the ability to travel and dress nicely. Oh, and buy art.

I hadn't heard of Patek Phillipe either, so I googled it, and all the watches I saw had lots of diamonds on them. A little showy/cheesy IMHO. They scream "look at me, I'm really expensive but not very stylish!"

I would hire someone to research my geneaology. After that, I would buy another apartment in our building that would be a bachelorette pad/office just for me. No hubby or kids ever allowed -- oh how that fanasy brings a smile to my face.

NP here, Not all Patek Phillipe watches look like that - they are actually known to be very sleek and classic. A Patek Phillip is the Bentley of watches.
A watch collector would complete a collection once they have one.

I just looked them up. What the hell is in a watch to cost $228,760???? There was another one that cost over $1M. That is insane.
