Ha, that’s a perfect ad. If that bothers you- I’m sure you were never gonna consider voting for the GOP anyway. |
This x100. The PPPs comment is totally upside down. Perez is most notable for working at a union busting law firm and his incompetence at DOL (judge overturned regulations because he didn’t follow procedures) and incompetence at DNC. For people with any familiarity with state politics, Franchot is most notable for being a purely political, favor trading, nihilist that holds grudges. Just a classic old time Maryland politician. Which is not a compliment. Dan Cox will probably win the Eastern Shore, but Schulz will clean up with Republican voters - particularly the lacrosse and swim team moms - in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Howard and Frederick counties. She’s going to easily walk over this uninspiring Democratic field, except maybe Franchot but that’s only because he has the statewide name recognition. Wes Moore and Aruna Miller could be formidable ticket, except his campaign seems to have lost momentum. |
It’s a good ad. I’m not sure that going so strongly against masks is a good strategy. Maybe instead focusing on the mandate and choice would be better. But still a good ad. |

Any word on how these two are responding to the SC news?
I'm now almost certain we will see a Governor Franchot by the end of the year. |

I will vote for her over a super-progressive Democrat. Any Republican governor will have to govern closer to the middle in this state. But a super-progressive General Assembly and Governor is a nightmare.
I like reform. Not revolution. |
| This Roe decision means that her campaign is effectively over. |
Agreed. She tried to restrict abortion when she was in the state legislature, and today's decision makes that matter a lot. The number of Democrats who would vote for her just went way down. |
The only person who is like that is John King and he's not polling high. You're likely either getting Franchot (Conservative Democrat) or Moore (Pro-Business Democrat). |
King is my favorite, unfortunately. |
| Much to my chagrin, Dan Cox is going to win the GOP primary. |
I understand what his impetus for running for Governor is as the first elected office he has run for in his life? Makes zero sense and furthermore, he’s never been involved in local politics or even leadership positions in his own community. He’s a beltway dude that happens to live in Maryland (after moving from NY to work for Obama) who is only running because he worked for Obama? Who’s supporting his campaign? Gotta be the “school choice”, charter school folks. Doesn’t make any sense otherwise. |

| Schultz will not be Md's next governor. Maryland just isn't going to ever do that, thank goodness. Md is a Democratic state. |
