New season of Mrs. Maisel

Just watched E2 tonight and thought it was a little better than E1. Maybe there’s hope.
Also, looks like they already dropped E3 & 4. I thought they came out on Friday?

I was a bit disappointed but expectations were high given the long pandemic wait.

Yes, and her "jokingly" outing the gay guy last season was just so terrible.

Yeah that’s where it jumped the shark - terrible and out of character. She’s not dumb. She knew what she was doing, and her character generally isn’t malicious.

To be fair, she wasn't outing him to that particular audience. They already knew. Also, it seemed to me like Reggie set her up.

It's a kind of parody. Don't Same confuse it with a dramady. Gilmore Girls vibe. The sets and clothes alone are worth it.

Many of us who are Jewish and over 55 recognize a lot of these characters and we smile.

What makes you think the audience knew he was gay? They may have laughed at the jokes but, at least at the time, not gotten the innuendo. I thought she was unsure of herself and uncomfortable with him being gay so handled it by being mean & cocky.

I thought she knew but the audience did not. At that time, people sometimes didn't know because they'd never heard of a perfectly normal person being attracted to the same sex and sometimes didn't know because they didn't want to know. Doesn't Reggie reprimand her and excuse himself by saying that he knew but he didn't think Midge knew?

Totally sets the whole camp thing in solid stone. No waiting for the camp camp to catch on - Palladino just sets it right there.

I don’t get Joel’s girlfriend. She doesn’t seem like someone he would be into.

Yes, I found the whole Shy Baldwin storyline offensive on multiple levels.

I find her incredibly annoying. Her deadpan humor is awful and “big”

The whole show is very mediocre.

Really? It was so dumb. Really, really dumb.

I thought the scenes walking around Coney Island were great but once they got on the wheel it was way too much.

It’s disappointing. I do love the Lenny Bruce character and Midge’s clothes but Susie is annoying as hell and I absolutely do not care about any storyline involving the Jane Lynch character.

The once fun banter is getting boring.
