New season of Mrs. Maisel

Am I alone in finding it very mediocre?

Agreed, can't get into it. Very disappointed.

Also disappointed, and it had been a favorite.

I used to love the characters Sophie Lennon and Susie Meyerson. Used to…

Hopefully they are setting it up for something big to happen.

I find all the characters have morphed into annoying caricatures. I still love the dresses, but all the characters have become irritating. Interestingly, her ex is the only person who doesn’t annoy me at this point.

Midge had lost her charm. She comes off as a stylish, desperate bully

I couldn't get into it last season. Watched the first episode of latest season and realized last season wasn't a fluke. Can't get into it again.

Eh I know what you mean but I liked it overall..I thought the scene on the ride at Coney Island was so funny.

Really? It was so dumb. Really, really dumb.

Yes, and her "jokingly" outing the gay guy last season was just so terrible.

Better series to watch now.

This. We stopped watching halfway through season 3 and I hardly ever give up on shows. She is just such a desperate attention hog.

So... exactly two episodes are available but you're already dismissing it? Not going to let it build? I had to let the first season grow on me but am glad I stuck with it.

And for the poster saying Midge is an "attention hog" -- why, yes. She always has been; that's not new in these two episodes suddenly. It was apparent in the very first episode of season one, when they flashed back to her wedding to Joel. A huge point of the character and her comedy career is....attention hogging and what it does to your life. If that puts you off, I'm amazed if you made it past season one. You don't have to love or even like a a main character to find a story interesting.

Also not a fan. She did something horrible and seems to have no sense of responsibility for it. But that's a pattern with her, unfortunately.

She outed someone in the 60s. She put him at serious risk. She's not whittled to kee0 her job under those circumstances.

Have not seen new season, but I thought last season has dropped off from the amazing quality up to that season.
