I think people seem to need labels. People are on a wide spectrum when it comes to sexuality, autism, anxiety. That has always been the case. No one is "normal"; we're all different and span a wide array of personalities and sexuality. Do we really need the + now? Nonbinary? Asexual. What is the difference between the Q and LGBT? Why do we need so many labels? On the one hand, we have all these labels. OTH, we don't want to be labeled, so we have labels to not label us. Crazy. |
THere is a lot wrong with what you wrote, but I am going to primarily address the bolded and leave your God bullsh1t for others. Plenty of places don't believe in your God and manage to have a great moral compass. Post WW2, huge numbers of men all across Europe never came back. My mother was one of the only kids in her class to have a living father. Not the only, but they were rare--and those that were not suffering from PTSD were even more rare. Yet somehow they all grew up with a moral compass. Your statement reeks of ignorance and misogyny. |
I'd love to know where that silly cow grew up and lives now. Wonder if she voices those thoughts around others, or has to zip it to keep friends. |
The shootings yes. And the anger out there. |
| Also the horrible racism and misogyny. Trump unleashed the Id in many people |
Years ago, I read a book by an historian which consisted of the journal entries of a midwife in colonial New England, I think mid-1700s. In one of her entries, she wrote about a man who shot and killed his entire family: wife, five or six kids, and himself. Sadly, there have always been people who will do terrible things like this and it is not new to our era. Unfortunately, it is true that “there is nothing new under the sun.” |

As far as gender identity goes we just used different words
Tomboy Tom girl or sweet Butch Lipstick lesbian Flaming Etc |
wow after reading this thread I wonder who are you old people 😂 I am in my early 50s and I recognize that none of this is stuff is new it’s just that people talk about it and it’s easy to find those people via social media. Gender identify pronouns are goofy to me but hey if it makes others happy well then have at. I don’t worry about the downfall of society or democracy. At all. I think people are still neighborly at times and people are still jerks at times. Just like they have always have been. Just like they will always be. I remember when Tipper Gore was ranting on tv about heavy metal music being the downfall of society. Still makes me chuckle. I think it was the 80s when the conservatism of earlier decades breathed its last breathe. I liked growing up in the 70/80/90s era. But I love all the technology that has come into existence yet and I can’t wait to see how much more there is to come. |
I am 67 and I totally agree with you!! |
Yes! The hippies who were all "free love" are now all "don't tax me, tax the next guy". GTFOH - selfish b*stards. |
|
Re: school shooters - look at the parents and their stellar ability to enable their destructive child. That is not a coincidence.
Same parents have stellar ability to point fingers for sport. The needy parents become a real problem, so people tend to rightfully steer clear of the problematic adults who have problematic kids. Deal with your sh*t, people. |
And that is very sad and very tragic but it in no way disproves what I wrote. There is a big difference in children losing a father to death versus losing one to abandonment. If you don’t know or believe that you are simply obtuse. |
None of these people tried to convince other people that they actually WERE the opposite sex, however. That is what is disturbingly different now. |
Yikes. Yes.

Wow. I came of age in the 70s/80s and I am so glad there is a lot less of this attitude (^^) in the world today. WTAF?! |
