First of all, my cleaning person, who charges us $170 biweekly for a 2500 square foot house (plus finished basement they vacuum) said the #1 factor that drives the price--even more than sq ft--is how cluttered the house is. If they have to move around a lot of furniture, knick nacks, or clean up your stuff, it is going to cost more.
Also, a 4500 square foot house? $250 sounds fair. Why don't you pay the commoners some money! |
NW DC, 1,500 SF 3 BR/2 BA, including changing the sheets, $140 every two weeks.
$230 for once a month cleanings, Virginia exurbs, 5 br/5ba 5000+ sq ft
$100 every three weeks (just two of us), 6k square feet but she only does the top floor so likely 2500 square feet - 3 bathrooms.
$150 each visit, she comes twice a month with her partner. We have 2600sqft., no pets, no small children, she does not do my laundry.
$200 every other week. 3,700 sq. ft. 3 sheddy pets. No laundry included.
We pay $200.00 twice a month (plus tip) for a 3,000 square foot home with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 3 adults, and a non shedding dog in Woodbridge. The fee went up from $180.00 bc I'm picky and asked the cleaning service to pay extra attention to the hardwood floors on all three levels. I don't always get the same crew but if they are here 3+ hours and do a good job. I tip well for good cleaners bc they clearly work hard and the house looks great.
If you like your cleaning company, can you name them? We are in DC and looking for someone for our 3200 sq ft house (with kids, dog, live-in grandma).
