How much you pay for the cleaning service

I paid $150 for 5 bed/7bath 6100 sq feet pre covid, but I only had them do the basement once a month and only two bathrooms are actually used. The others just need dusting. I think that $200 is a fair price if you don’t have cats or a shedding dog.

I'm the PP who tips each time because I use a company. If they are self-employed, I think it's OK to tip only for the holidays.

$120 3br 2.5 ba 1200 sq ft in DC. Biweekly - I dont tip except at Christmas.

I'm clearly overpaying. $250 every other week. 4 bedroom, 3.5 baths but only 2 people so most weeks only 1 bedroom is used and we no longer have a dog. She changes/washes sheets and towels. We pay her/she still comes when we aren't there (at least 3 months /year).

We pay about the same at our second home, although that's by the hour so varies depending on how much needs to be done. At the peak of summer every room/bathroom is being used, and it's a lot of work.

I pay $175 for 2 people/2.5 hours
I'm here working right now and one of the ladies has been using one hand for her cell phone and the other to clean for the last hour.... Would this bother anyone else? I kind of feel like you need 2 hands to effectively clean. If she had earbuds in it wouldn't bother me...

We do. $10 each (4 women) every other week, $50 each at Christmas.

It's good to see the range here is pretty consistent. One service tried to charge us $425 for a 2500SQF house every other week. Um, no.

They may charge your friend less bc she has been with them a while. $150 for that size is incredibly low. Are you far out in the suburbs? I pay the same for $2300 sq feet, 4 beds, 2.5 baths in Falls Church. I started out paying $125 8 years ago and they only recently raised my price.
