Carlson says he's not trying to convert his critics, and he's perfectly OK with people taking issue with what he says. One of his beliefs is not to get involved in the foreign affairs of other countries when it doesn't affect the US. You can argue whether that is the case with Ukraine - and I think there are good arguments on both sides. And Carlson would welcome this argument on his show.
He has also pointed out that the Biden administration is more worried about Ukraine's borders than the US borders. I agree with him 100% on this statement.
