This is also my kids' favorite. It has a different taste to it, but I don't know whether it's the sauce or the crust or what. It's good.

I also like Home Run Inn.

American Flatbread or Roberta's - both from Whole Foods.

Roberta's is the best! I also like Trader Joe's arugula pizza but I don't get to Trader Joe's very often.

Funny...I ate this as a kid too. My mom still makes it for my kids and they associate with family gatherings and cousins at the "kids table" (they are all in college now).

I have to ask...how do you pronounce it? We always said 'Ehlios" with a short e but I once heard a commerical and it is EElio with a long e. I was shocked.

NP. We ate this too. I grew up in NYC so there was never a family meal of frozen pizza - just a lunch or snack and this was the only one we ever bought. We also said it with a short E but I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a long E.

+1. They used to be so good.

I like Dr Oetker's too but it always seems so oily. I had to stop buying it.

My fave is Newman's Own, pepperoni version. Also an Ellio's (EEEllio's) fan. All through grade school we had pizza Fridays, and it was Ellio's.

Are you sure you're thinking of the right pizza brand? I think Dr. Oetker's is one of the least oily options out there.

Yes, definitely Dr Oetker. I went through so many paper towels every time I made it to blot the oil pools. Even the underside of the crust was oily, every single time.

This is the BEST FROZEN pizza I’ve ever had!!! Costco sells it. It’s “Detroit” style. From motor city pizza company. Sooo good.

Anonymous wrote:Wegman's frozen pizzas are the best I've had of the frozen pizzas. I won't claim that they're as good as a freshly made artisanal pizza but when you consider that it's only $5 compared to $20 at an artisanal place, they're fantastic value.

+1

I love their frozen pizzas. I live 45 min from my closest Wegmans and it’s always on my list to stock up.

Red Barron classic crust. A staple in our house.

Thank you for having the courage to admit this, I agree!
