Lol, okay |
| I loved it. Funny, irreverent at times, expressed so well the fury I have felt for the last few years, poignant. Great performances. |

This era's Idiocracy. Brilliant, right down to the weirdo Elon Musk/Bezos/Jack Dorsey type.
I was kind of wondering what Timothee Chalamet was doing in it until the table scene, and wow. Meryl Streep continues to amaze as does Cate Blanchett. But the entire cast was great. |
I thought the same thing. I actually rewatched Idiocracy at the beginning of the pandemic, and felt the same sense of recognition that Don’t Look Up gave me just now. It’s a great film, if not incredibly depressing in some ways. |
Haha. Right after we finished Don’t Look Up we said we should rewatch Idiocracy. |
| Watched it with my 12 year old last night when we wanted to stay up and watch a movie. Tonight 12 year old and I rewatched it with my husband and 15 year old. We all really enjoyed it. Humorous yet terrifying and mind boggling to think this or something similar could happen with certain administrations. |
| I had to fast forward to the end. |
The movie is dumb. |
|
Movie made me sad
Are we living in our last days? |
| I started it but couldn’t get through much of it. |
| The ending scene around the table gave me nightmares. I get that it’s satire, and there were some funny moments but the overall darkness of this just left me depressed and saddened. I guess that’s the point? |
| My wife and I also tried to watch it but we found it so boring in the first 10 minutes we switched it off. |
|
I really liked it, but I’m also depressed now, but also laughing at the absurdity of humanity, and back and forth, which is the point. I just need a drink.
Loved the casting in this movie. And Jennifer Lawrence’s l obsession with the general who charged them for snacks was genius. |
Wow, you really hung in there, champ. |
Yeah. I laughed every time that came up. |
