Princeton or MIT

Mine got into both Princeton and MIT. Picked Princeton and is so happy. Think people too! Not just academics. College is an experience!

Come back and ask after he does.

+1. Although some MIT people are distinguishing themselves already here with their typical lack of anything resembling social skills.

Exactly! I want a leader, not another great highly trained support staff

I graduated in the 80's and got into both Princeton and MIT. Chose MIT and do not regret!

So much easier to get into MIT then. Also the cultures are not different now

Lots of leaders come out of MIT. Check their alumni list.

np It's the 21st century. Please stop using derogatory terms like "pansy"

Says someone who knows nothing about either school.

You can tell whether people have social skills from anonymous internet postings? Or are you just assuming people without any talent like yourself automatically have better social skills?

This thread is definitely counting chickens before they're hatched. Sure, apply to both, but for goodness sake have some backups to those two.

I know someone, who, among other great stats, actually won ISEF and she didn't get into MIT (she did get into multiple Ivies, but again she straight up won ISEF, not just her category (which is itself massively impressive) the whole thing). High stats alone is absolutely no guarantee.

For pure math, Princeton. For others or double majors, MIT.

That’s more related to graduate education than undergraduate.

I'm amused by the meltdown of the MIT poster. If this is how he deals with highly speculative questions, one can only imagine the meltdowns he has when faced with real ones.

MIT poster? Why do you always make assumptions that are totally wrong? Wannabe leaders without an ounce of critical thinking skills are wannabes.
