There's never going to be a last wave. Only a next wave. This thing isn't going away. It's here, and forever. |
Shrug. Guess it's back to spending my time and money in Virginia. But, yeah. I agree with your post. |
Good, since it means your uncontained germs will be their problem. As we discussed the last time you threatened to flounce across the river, it's hard to imagine a working mom who has time to go way the hell out there on a regular basis anyway. You either care about this mask thing far more than you value your time (weird) or you're not actually a local parent. |
Read the history of the great influenza. It's like you've never heard of history. Eventually it will become endemic like the regular flu and effect fewer people. |
“Like the regular flu” or like the actual flu? |
Heretic!!!!!! Burn her!!!!
|
Way the hell out there? It takes me 5 minutes to drive from my house in Virginia to DC proper... |
This is silly. Tests are for detecting covid cases in D.C. and preventing transmission in D.C. I don't care who uses the tests if it keeps them from spreading the virus in the city. |
Well it would take me half an hour in light traffic to drive to the nearest part of Virginia (maybe Rosslyn, which is nothing but offices anyway), and I don't usually have extra hours for unnecessary trips. |
I can literally see Virginia from my house. Do you understand geography? |
Do you understand that this must mean you live on the very edge of the city and that crossing bridges and wasting hours to avoid a minor inconvenience is not a priority for reasonable people who live in the center? |
| In Virginia spending money. I guess DC would prefer to attract more tents and fewer visitors. |
Wonder why doctors wear them? Do you think it is miasma? |
False equivalence. Doctors (even those working in pharmacies) work in environments sought out by those who are sickly and/or suffering from ailments. Not comparable to the average person going about their business in a non-medical setting. If mask mandates worked Florida and other areas with less mask adherence would continually demonstrate abnormally high case numbers, when in reality the opposite has been observed. |
Why do you keep bringing up Florida in your efforts to convince us? Florida, where the governor tried to bully the universities into saying what he wanted research scientists to say about COVID?! Super trustworthy place. Do you not realize Florida is a punch line? This is Florida:
Yeah, that's who we should be emulating!! |
