OMG - I have a similar story. My husband 'ate out' a mango one evening. Within 30 minutes, his lips swelled beyond his nose. He was talking to me saying he thought something was wrong. I couldnt understand what he was saying because his lips were swollen. I looked over at him, sitting next to me on the cough, and saw his lips swollen. I laughed til I cried. He turned out to be okay. We determined he is allergic to the skin of a mango.

Ok, now I’m laughing. That’s funny. (Glad he’s ok.)

Similar thing happen to my dad but instead, we thought he had just been bitten by a lot of mosquitos (he and my mom had walked home from an event in later DC summer and he complained of getting bitten the whole way home). My mom and I died laughing at him as he itched in anguish and as his lips swelled up - but only after we realized he was actually having an allergic reaction but wasn't going into anaphylactic shock or anything. We still laugh about it to this day.

When we were relatively newly dating now dh was going down on me and got a bloody nose. Once we figured out what was happening (and I hadn’t spontaneously started my period off-schedule) we devolved into hysterics. Of course I made sure he knew I was totally fine with it (he was embarrassed). Occasionally one of us will mention it at a semi-inappropriate time and it always sends us laughing again.
