My DH had an allergic reaction one morning. He rolled over in bed and his lips were hugely swollen. I died laughing while hoping he wasn’t going into anaphylactic shock. This was almost 11 years ago and I still laugh so hard that tears come to my eyes to this day. (And he was fine.)
Ok, now I’m laughing. That’s funny. (Glad he’s ok.)
Similar thing happen to my dad but instead, we thought he had just been bitten by a lot of mosquitos (he and my mom had walked home from an event in later DC summer and he complained of getting bitten the whole way home). My mom and I died laughing at him as he itched in anguish and as his lips swelled up - but only after we realized he was actually having an allergic reaction but wasn't going into anaphylactic shock or anything. We still laugh about it to this day.
