Current DMV ECNL Playoff Projections

But but but but ECNL is the cream. The best. The top. Luxury. Quality. Can’t beat it. But but but ECNL.

Where high school soccer is played in the fall, ecnl plays in the spring at high school ages.

Only one club in all of the other leagues around the DMV could compete with the middle of the road to top DMV teams. Every other club would have similar or worse results than BRYC is having. Name me just one other club other than FCV.

Baltimore Armour? No.
Metro United? Not a chance.
Baltimore Celtic? Nope.
Baltimore Union? Uh uh.
VYS? Keep going.
FC Frederick? LOL.
Coppermine? Maybe the younger ages, but good try.
PPA? Not even right field or the parking lot.
Great Falls? See above!!!

Get it?

I am guessing that many would like to find youth clubs free of parents that discuss "playoff projections" for kid soccer.

I assume you’re a Loudoun parent? You’re predicting 3 from that club to qualify. The 03/04 team is currently in 10th place and has to place top 2 to qualify but you have them as a chance to qualify.

No. This is clearly Bethesda Dad. You made the same point in this thread and the Bethesda thread. You good now?

GA plays crap teams.. all of them should be at the top! Laughable.

It looks like Bethesda and Pipeline 09s are going to have to fight the PA teams to get the final NA champions league slot because the top two slots seem to be locked up already by the NJ clubs.

Doubtful it's a Loudoun parent. I'm pretty sure it's a Bethesda parent, especially with this nonsense:

Yep, I am a Bethesda Dad. Could care less who knows. I don't insult any other club's coaches or players. In fact I may just make an account since I have nothing to hide. This is all a just a topic of debate and I think it's fun. I also don't care about the Debbie Downer's who want to say it doesn't matter, blah, blah, blah. I support the rating of ECNL>GA>DPL>every other league. I believe in mathematical algorithms more than opinions. I enjoy other people's opinions that can back them up with facts and common sense. I know parents and coaches from around the Beltway. I played high level sports all the way through college, and although that was a long time ago, I have seen first hand what it takes to be a professional athlete and coach.

No one knows or cares who won these playoffs 5 minutes after they are over. Been many times so not sour grapes.

1000% correct

it's all about the $$$, and parents are willing to pay for it.

Fair. I respect that. But tough to judge NA teams that haven’t even played yet.

I think you are being exploited by the youth soccer industrial complex to spend way too much time and money on the youth soccer stuff that is of limited importance, like fake play-offs for kids, at the expense of the youth soccer stuff that is important.

Agreed. Plus GA > ECNL. There’s a local GA team that isn’t a money grab and has a track record of the better college and YNT placement over any local ECNL club that will take any player willing to pay the inflated fees. Stop being exploited by this corrupt league.

LOL, you pay just as much or more than Bethesda. Maybe less depending on league travel. Besides, if I pay $500 more a year, I’d make up for that in gas alone. I know this because I am friends with multiple families at FCV. Not knocking FCV at all. Quality club. But throwing stones at something you are guilty of yourself is laughable. Didn’t you go to SoCal last summer? Aren’t you going this summer? No different. The true difference is the quality of in league competition. ECNL has great games every week with only a few outliers. FCV is cream of the crop with maybe one or two teams that maybe will even give them a game. This isn’t really up for debate either. Statistics and results lean heavily in ECNL’s favor and opinions cannot change that.

Where the true money grab is are the private trainers making you pay 💰 for overtraining.

Oh, and I am not worried about US Regional camp. That is highly politicized and well known that with the exception of a few players, the other very best are often not chosen.

A lot of factors go into College, not just a club. Pretty sure that between Bethesda and FCV P5 placement is very similar. It may not be for 03s through the 05s thanks to the turmoil from years ago combined with CoVid, but 06s and down at Bethesda are every bit on the same level as FCV currently. And don’t spit that “coach” crap because college recruiting has much more to do with the effort put forth by the player than anything else.

But yeah, 💯 zero issues with FCV or its programs. Well coached and managed. Mostly happy players and parents with a few outliers, JUST LIKE AT ANY CLUB.

To be fair, Armour 09s and 08s are both in 2nd place in GA in points per game (09s tied for 2nd). Not sure why they are both listed as unlikely to make playoffs... but agreed that competition is worse there.
