Not insults but FACTS. It does seem like Northwestern and UChicago grads are living in their warped reality and needs, from time to time, a sobering reality check from rankings as such. You'll get what I mean when you check out their College Confidential forums, just full of circle-jerking parents whose kids are mostly Ivy and Stanford/MIT rejects and banking on the school to outperform in rankings. But you can only game the rankings to a certain extent and there are tons of factors that cannot be controlled by admissions offices, like their piss-poor career outcomes or low satisfaction.

And also, Northwestern alums control newsrooms where these rankings and their methodologies are tweaked. Nobody in real life thinks Northwestern undergrad is "elite".

You are legitimately deranged and, it seems, a conspiracy theorist to boot.

What "piss-poor career outcomes or low satisfaction"? And what are you even talking about when you say "a sobering reality check from rankings"? Northwestern and UChicago both perform well in the rankings, and always have. That's the whole impetus for your tantrum, isn't it? The only people making a hissy fit are deeply insecure anonymous online posters like yourself. Lol.

UChicago doesn't, for a fact. It always has been a school ranked in the teens until recently. The caliber of its students and alumni is a lot closer to Northwestern than to Harvard or Stanford.

My kid graduated from a college far, far below that list and is now at a tippy top grad program that rejected tons of people who went to colleges on that list.

It's not where you go to undergrad, it's how well you do there.

My neighbor went to CC, and ended up in grad school at Harvard. You never know.

Calm down! Your’s is an anecdote. You express a lack of knowledge of mathematics/quantitative reasoning.

This is very interesting. But, as a lawyer, I think it’s odd to judge a college by how many people they send to law school. Reminds me of this not entirely true but funny video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Xs-UEqJ85KE.

This is laughably embarrassing. You both live in a world of delusion. I'm sure it feels great to totally "own" these people with your non-facts and mistruths! You sound like the people on Fox and Friends who harp on and on about owning the libs as the rest of the world looks on in bemusement.
