Not a chance, op.
There’s no way la Palma will impact the US east coast and dc in any meaningful way in our lifetime. |
Also, I'm confused about this little nugget. It says 30-40 miles from the coast. DC is over 80 miles from the ocean. |
| Cluster earthquakes are not actually a bad thing, it’s the way the earth releases tension in spurts instead of one large earthquake which would be disastrous. |
I was confused about this too. |
This. Google tells me this happens a few times each year on la Palma. NBD. |
| Why did I think about hilaria baldwin faux roots when reading about this article? |
Ugh! I mean, like, UGH! |
Think of the word Bay: a broad inlet of the sea where the land curves inward. I think you are forgetting that that any surge will come up the Chesapeake Bay. Think about hurricanes driving water up the Galveston Bay. |
The Chesapeake bay turns up at an angle from the ocean. Yes, a significant surge could push into the bay, but that water has to do a lot of twists and turns before it makes it to DC. A tsunami isn’t going to be able to maintain a lot of force up the bay and then up the meandering Potomac to DC. It’s not like hurricane force winds pointed in the exact right direction over a sustained period of time. |
| so does this mean we can ditch the masks? |
| As of today, the activity has eased. |
| 😳 |
It NASA just announced a moon wobble. That WILL affect us. Google it. |
- including all parts of the Chesapeake bay. |
