You got it wrong, they don't have enough fake segments that are entertaining. Seriously, that is interesting on the song count, because when I used to listen, it seemed like it was closer to 5 an hour (not counting the lousy DJ Dirty Elbows mix every Friday, he really sucks, and should have been canned a long time ago). With radio, you either have chemistry or you don't, and from the sounds of it, they haven't had chemistry in a very long time. Also, there is no difference between skipping this thread and the parenting forums that do not effect you. If you don't like something, you skip it, it is that simple. |
They aren't nearly entertaining enough to be playing so little music.

I think the format generally follows along this line: 6:00-6:30 throwback song, people call in with what they are doing, crew clovers what they did the last 24 hours, and a song 630-640 - commercials 640-700 - Hollywood dirt, song, and segment 700-710 - commercials 710-730 - segments and song 730-740 - commercials 740-800 - hollywood dirt, song, segments 800-810 - commercials 810-830 - segments, song 830-840 - commercials 840-900 - Hollywood dirt, segment, 2 songs 900-910 - commercials 910-930 - segments, song 930-940 - commercials 940-1000 - 2-3 songs and moron madness Depends on the days on what segments they do when. Monday has War of the Roses at 715ish and John's Justice at 815ish. Tuesday has a repeat of Monday's War of the Roses at 915ish. Wednesday has the Kane Scam around 815. Thursday has a repeat of Wednesday's Kane Scam at 645 and a new War of the Roses at 815. Friday has the repeat of Thursday's War of the Roses at 645 and the DJ Dirty Elbows rollout at 810. Dr Oz usually fits in sometime during the week and the schedule changes from time to time, but generally they follow this schedule every week. |

Maybe they are trying to work out a way that she can leave the show as graceful as possible since she just signed a new 3 year contract back in October, and honestly Kane cannot afford any messy exit with a female on air. Although I think she will stay in Maryland as long as her TLC deal is valid, I could see her trying to get a release from Iheart media and trying to work again with her former host Tony Fly remotely as she seems to have posted quite a bit about him lately, and changed the background of her personal Facebook page to advertisement of his new radio show in Minnesota. |

Maybe that is why he was trying to set up the travel vacation package thing, but I don't think they got any business with that because the prices were way too high. |
