PP may be referring to this random sentence that was in the NYT article about the DOJ filing. But department officials are not expected to file charges imminently, if they ever do. It has no attribution or context - who said this? And "imminently" doesn't rule out it happening any time after the end of this week. This was exceedingly poor journalism, and it seems the NYT continues to suck up to Donald Trump to keep access. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/08/31/us/politics/trump-mar-a-lago-documents.html |
You don't actually have to read the documents to make money off them. Just stuff as many highly classified docs as you can in boxes and hide them. |
People keep saying this but Trump is not on the ballot for any upcoming election. And the other people in his circle who undoubtedly assisted in the crimes being investigated aren’t either. |
Okay, so? Someone made a point somewhere that if TFG hadn’t made such a big stink about the search, no one would even k ow about it. And we certainly oy wouldnt know as much as we now do about his likely culpability. It’s almost like he wants to go to trial as fast as possible! He’s brought this all on himself and the electorate. |
+1 Snowden certainly didn’t read everything he put out there. |
Since this is an anonymous board I don't know if you were the one I was originally responding to. But somebody was saying The DOJ was not gonna press charges alluding that they had no charges to press. And then gave Bloomberg as a source. I found the document and it has to do with not interfering with elections. Read the article. And then comment back. |
Narcissistic personality disorder. Insecure. Manipulative. Lazy. Racist AF. Average intellect with a few talented people propping up his core real estate operations. No intellectual curiosity. He’s always in for the short con. People don’t seem to remember the pre-Apprentice Donnie and his shenanigans. |
The sourcing is most likely a Trump lawyer: Evan Corcoran. |
But not a child who can’t be held responsible. Important. |
Sooo, Trump blew that defense out of the water last night. Interesting. So, she either saw them and didn’t squeal. Or she didn’t see them because someone moved them. The governments brief alluded to evidence showing boxes were moved around. Wonder who was doing the moving. They aren’t sleeping very well anymore I’m sure. |
DOJ in the first instance needs to await completion of the intelligence community equity holder review of the classification status of the siezed documents. Are they classified correctly or should the classification be changed? The intelligence community needs to conduct a counterintelligence assessment in order to attempt to ascertain if national security information was leaked or misused and present the findings to the grand jury. There are now additional fact witnesses, specifically thrust least three Trump lawyers who are not permitted to handle classified material. The FBI will be interviewing the people coming and going with boxes in the storage room. The investigation isn’t limited to “documents.” It’s ultimately about obstruction. It’s a near certainty that DOJ was incredulous upon learning that Trump still had so much classified material in his possession even though one of his attorneys had certified that all of it had been returned as of June 3. DOJ stated in its filing that the investigation was at its “very beginning” or words to that effect.
