2024 Democratic National Convention

Trump has spoken for 8 years and we're still waiting for specific plans from him. With Trump, his plans were always 2 weeks away and never arrived. Would you feel better if she said she'll have specific plans out in two weeks?

She, just like Trump, has no real and feasible plan to fix our nation's problems. They do have plans to scratch the backs of their wealthy donors.

She said she will cut taxes for the middle class but not the wealthy, sign a nationwide protection of abortion rights, work with our allies to deter Russian aggression, sign the immigration bill Trump made the Senate Republicans kill, etc etc

Not sure if you are trolling or just not paying attention

Yes, but we do know where trump stands with sharks, batteries and Hannibal Lecter. When is Kamala going to share that information with us?/s

She failed to outline specific policy positions, in case you were not paying attention (apparently you were not).

If she had any plan at all, why hasn’t she implemented right now? (hint: she has no plan).

Now I know you are trolling because a convention acceptance speech is not the place to start discussing how to revise section 121 of the internal revenue code. It’s a time to express a vision for how the government should work.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/08/23/fact-check-dnc-kamala-harris-day-4/

She lived in a multicultural red-lined neighborhood. Her single mom, her, and her sister lived in an apartment above a daycare. She was bused to school. Her neighbors were firefighters. The village that helped raise her was blue collar. Even if her parents were professionals she didn't grow up in a white collar environmental.

Also, do you really think her minority parents were paid equal pay to other researchers and professors? Her speech didn't say blue collar, she said middle class.

From 12-17 she lived in Montreal while her mother was a professor at McGill. Crickets about that in her speech because it doesn’t fit the narrative.

Including that would not have taken away from her speech. Sad that her mother had to leave America for a better lifestyle.

Tweens don't get to pick where they live. What is important is that when she could decide for herself, she returned to America to attend Howard University (HBCU) and selected a career of service.

And by the way, where was her father on the biggest night of her life? Oh that's right. They hate each other.

So you're unqualified to be president if you're estranged from a parent? What a ridiculous comment.

+1 her father wasn't around and she adored her mother. Not exactly unusual. Also evidently he's cold, critical, and humorless.
https://www.politico.com/story/2019/02/20/kamala-harris-father-pot-1176805

She needs him for exactly nothing.

Harris is a decent person and perhaps her father is too. Her father probably loves her and misses his baby but he is likely disappointed in the fact that his daughter is now a bought and paid for puppet of one of our two awful major political parties.

Please provide one shred of evidence that Kamala is a "decent person," as most people would define that. And by the way, her father is a Marxist.

I’ll play. She’s in a blended family and her step kids— and their biological mother— clearly adore her. As someone with two step parents, I will say that that speaks very well of her. Step parent an incredibly tough role to pull off well. Kids know when you’re phoning it in. Exs are predisposed to be defensive.

As noted in PP, even hardened criminals and Mafia members "clearly adore" evil family members.

Why don't you ask the 92% of her staff members who have left her employ, due to her screaming and bullying? Ask them if she is a "decent person." They know her better than you do.

Except teen step kids and their bio mom aren’t really family (let me finish, I’m not JD Vance) unless you put a lot of care and effort in. They can be people you co-exist with, more or less peacefully. They can be the person your parent married, and then you went to college and seeing them is the price of seeing your “real parent”. Or they can be people who play a real parental role in your life. Its takes effort to get option 3.

Again teens— not stupid about this. Your ex— even less so.

Except that in this case, Kersten Emhoff has come out and explicitly said that Kamala Harris has been a valuable and loving co-parent and that the three of them (D Emhoff, K Emhoff and K Harris) have shared parenting duties since Doug and Kamala were married.

So, in this case, it sounds like Harris "put a lot of care and effort in". Her step-kids and their mom all talk very highly of her and have been very supportive of her career. They have campaigned and/or supported her both in 2020 and in 2024. Sounds to me like they think she is a decent person.

Show me one nomination acceptance speech in the last three decades where the candidate identified “specific policy positions” and I will show you someone who didn’t go on to win. This speech is supposed to be about vision. Pages and pages of policy papers didn’t help Clinton (Hillary).

The dnc are such scammers

The rumor came directly from the White House.

Proof please

Look, I'm a Dem and I'm annoyed by this ruse. Here's the link:
https://www.nbcchicago.com/dnc-chicago-2024/did-white-house-political-director-just-drop-major-hint-about-beyonce-dnc-appearance/3529767/

And yet, the political director immediately responded with:
Ruiz did send a follow-up tweet afterward, saying that her 6-year-old child “took her phone,” which was met with skepticism by commenters on the post.

So, she dispelled this. I guess this is why Trump's followers believe his "hints" and "rumors" like "Stand back and stand by" encouraging the militant domestic terrorist groups. Or "fine people on both sides" encouraging the white supremacists and anti-Semites. Or "walk down the street to the Capitol...and cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women and...not cheering so much for some of them...you'll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong." as the encouragement to the mob to descend on Congress while they were in session to count the electoral votes.

Trump followers love to read between the lines and so they automatically assume not to believe what was said, but what was implied to be the real truth behind the words. Trump behaves this way to avoid culpability in doing immoral and unethical suggestions. "I never said that".

They need a thousand page policy binder before it’s real, whereas Trump can ramble aimlessly about nothing, deny that Project 2025 is his and they’ll still vote for them. Some people want to be a lost cause.

Too bad Trump is behind the wheel.

Economy is booming, rate cuts are coming. Soft landing from the mess Trump left.
GOP tanked the immigration bill that Harris said she would sign. Even Trump hasn't said he would sign it.
Administration is trying to get the war stopped, but Trump has been interfering, telling Netanyahu to hold out. Otherwise, the Administration has strenghtened the US standing in the world since Trump lost in 2020.

So when you say Trump is driving, I suppose you mean this?

Still can’t believe they had the nerve to invite Central Park 5 to the convention and claim to they care about crime. https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-myth-of-the-central-park-five

Cannot and will not vote for either Harris or Trump.

Truth bomb.

No one with a conscience can vote for either of them. No way.

Oh lookie, another stooge trying to trick us into staying home and electing Trump.

lol it’s so transparent at this point

Almost as transparent as claiming Beyonce was coming just so people didn’t leave early before Kamala.

Please show me where the DNC said Beyoncé is coming. I asked for this before but got crickets.

That's how rumors work, genius. They promoted a rumor, it gets picked up, and gullible people believe it.
And, there were tons of gullible people in the arena last night.

This is such a stupid talking point. The DNC was sold out before it even started. There were not even any volunteer slots open. As it turns out, Kamala Harris doesn't need internet rumors to fill arenas (remember that there were three sold out days before she even addressed the crowd, and on one of those days, she was speaking at a full RNC arena AT THE SAME TIME).

There were at least 4,000 people over the seat alotment in the arena each night, using the standing areas, which were 4-5 deep all around the top level.
