ISO multi-week exercise program. Like a personal trainer. But not.

I'm good about exercise when I have someone telling me what to do or a checklist to follow, which is why I love working with a personal trainer. Unfortunately, I don't have the funds to do that indefinitely. Are there any good resources for home or gym-based exercise programs? In another thread someone posted www.onehundredpushups.com which looks exactly like what I need, but I'm looking for more variety (pushups, squats, lunges, tricepts, abs, etc.). I'd like to find a fitness checklist I can follow 2-3 days/week, and ideally a program which gets progressively more difficult over time. I don't mind paying a fee, either. Any suggestions?

Couch to 5k? It's onyl a running program, but I found it to be vigorous. Especially around 5+ weeks. Now that it's starting to get warmer, it would be an excellent program to do outdoors.

You could try The New Rules of Lifting for Women. It's a book, with a seven-stage program that lasts about 6 months. You need a gym to do all the exercises as written.

I've thought about doing Couch to 5K, but I really don't enjoy running and I find it mentally challenging. That's the type of program I'm looking for, though, only I'd like it to be focused on strength-training.

Check out TNT Fitness (http://www.tntfitness.com/) you work out with a trainer in a small group. It's great because you get the benefit of a trainer, without the price. They are affiliated with Sport & Health but you don't have to be a member to do the TNT program.

30 Day Shred. I'm back to pre-pregnancy weight!

Tony Horton's P90X
Chalene Johnson's ChaLean Extreme
Cathe Friedrich's XTrain
Tom Holland's Supreme 90 Day (this is the most economical choice)

These are all DVD programs that follow a rotation calendar and will give you excellent results. The calendar tells you which DVD to do on each day. I'm an at-home exerciser and I really like rotations because there's no thought involved in which DVD to plop into the player.

I think I'm the quoted pp and I just signed up for another session. I need the accountability to get me to the gym.

Add "Insanity" to the list. It's another BeachBody program like P90x and ChaLean Extreme. It's a set of 10 DVDs and doesn't require you to buy any equipment.
