Guess who is gracing Vogue for the second time?

How is this any different from other presidents and First Ladies? Are you too young to remember Nancy Reagan?

Beautiful photo, and I like her dress for once.
Apart from that, no comment. It's part of the job description to have photos like these in well-known mags.

I adore Michelle and am a white woman. Given the dearth of women of African origin who grace the cover of any magazine, I am thrilled that my DD and DS see her picture and realize that beauty manifests itself in all races and ethnicities.

So Nancy only 2 in 8 years, and Laura once in 8 years. Compared to about a 100 in 4 years.

You all do realize that magazines are a business right? They make money based on sales of ads, and they put people they think the public wants to see on their covers...This isn't politically motivated. She is popular, why that angers some of you, I am not really sure.

People like her, plain and simple- if you don't, why does it anger you so much that others do?

Don't know about your math but what do you think it means? Is the White House leaning on these publishers? Or what?

Seriously. Laura Bush was on the cover of:

People
Good Housekeeping
Ladies Home Journal
USA Weekend
Parade

But the reality is that Michelle is just more interesting to the American people than either Laura or Barbara Bush ever were.
