When I saw this I assumed he was wearing a Prep varsity jacket. |
20% of public schools require a uniform. Cocky and stupid. Not a good combination. |
That is very plausible. |
You're just flat out wrong about the color of the jacket, shirt and pants being mandatory. But don't take my word for it. Feel free to look at the 1983 (the year Kavanaugh graduated) GP year book and see how students dressed at the time. https://archive.org/details/cupola-1983/page/n57 And you can call it a uniform if you want. Doesn't change the fact that Swetnick would never have been at the same party as GP students 3 years younger than her drinking out of punch bowls. |
Speaking of stupid, there is a distinction between “dress code” and “uniform,” or are you too cocky to understand that? |
Poor inner city public schools, not normal public schools. |
There are assumptions that can make it make sense, and assumptions that make it make no sense. Unfortunately her statement is problematic in a number of ways and this is just one of them. |
If Georgetown Preps dress code can be called a uniform, then the dress code for "normal public schools" can be considered a uniform. When I was a kid at public schools in the 80s, our dress codes were similar to those of standard boys prep schools, except no one wore a suit jacket and kids could wear jeans or cords as well as slacks. |
Do you really think that is an appropriate way to talk about a local school. Your name calling is so out of line. There are children that go to school there now that do not deserve this continued attack of their school. You are out of line. Where do your children go to school? Do you teach them to speak of others like this? They must be proud. |
Cocky, stupid, and illiterate. “It’s still a uniform even if it doesn’t have a school emblem. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/School_uniform https://www.frenchtoast.com/category/boys+uniforms.do https://www.landsend.com/shop/school-uniforms-boys...1-1-_-boysmen-_-20180105-_-cta To someone from a public school with no uniform at all, just a dress code, it’s a uniform. “ |
You can keep saying that all you want, but it doesn't make it a useful response. The "uniform" was invoked as a way to corroborate her belief that she was looking at Kavanaugh. The problem with invoking "Georgetown Prep uniform" is that there is no way to know if someone who is identified as wearing a "Georgetown Prep uniform" goes to Georgetown Prep, one of the other boys schools, or is a geeky public school student who prefers wearing slacks and a tie. When the uniform/dress code is simply "collared shirt, slacks, tie" you cannot easily identify which of the many schools that share that uniform/dress code the person wearing it attends. None of which matters, however, since Swetnick's statement is uncorroborated by anyone, including everyone in the county who she said knew about the parties. And of course she herself has declined to go to the police and file a report. Her odd comment about a Georgetown Prep uniform is the least of the holes. |
Indeed, all of this is lagniappe. Brett perjured, about issues big and “small.” (I remember a time when goppers - Petty Bretty included - felt that perjury was almost a hanging offense) Brett is owned by some mysterious benefactor to the tune of at least $400,000. Do you think judges should be owned by someone? Why was the domain “confirmkavanugh” registered in February 2017? Brett showed his total lack of fitness for the bench by losing his temper and raging about conspiracy theories and revenge. Spare us your “he was defending his honor!” malarkey - judges don’t get to do that by acting like angry drunks. He is completely without judicial temperment. |
Let the anger begin to ... fade. Breathe in. Now out .... |
Perjury that is either proven not to be perjury, like FFFF and Devils Triangle, or perjury that no one cares to follow up on, like the 2004 and 2006 hearings. None of the Senators thought his debt was a big issue, which is obvious since none of the Democratic Senators continued banging that drum. Perhaps you could contact the owner of “confirmkavanugh” and ask. Are you trying to assert something shady happened? Kavanaugh definitely showed his anger and frustration at being accused of everything from sexual assault to gang rape. Some thought that was an issue, which I believe are the complaints filed that Roberts has sent to a judge to consider. Do you think Roberts has not dealt with this appropriately? Have there been complaints about his behavior on the bench? It's not like we can't examine his judicial temperament since he's been a judge for years. And no one is following up on perjury. And no one is following up on sexual assault or gang rape. |
Likely coming from a snowflake trumpster angry that white men are beginning to be treated somewhat like normal people, that’s funny. Now talk about Benghazi! Or where Obama was born! I bet you’re totes sane on those subjects. ![]() |
