I do. You play it all off and orate. Just make fun of the prosecution. That’s fun to do actually.

Are govt criminal prosecutors paid like $200-300k a year total and private defense attorneys make $1000/hour and over $1m a year income?

Is there a big chasm between the talent on each side here? I mean if I was a super smart, driven, analytical, persuasive attorney why would I stay in the public sector? (Unless trust fund or high income spouse, and even then, I’m probably naturally competitive so…)

Govt prosecutors make far less than that.

10+ years out of law school govt prosecutors make less than $200-300k a year!!?!

Every person deserves a defense, even if you think it's deplorable. Defense attorneys are a vital part of our justice system.

Public defenders yes.

Criminal defense swaggering multimillionaires… lol.

Agree. The defense closing statements are very disappointing. The judge even had to step in when Angifilo suggested that the prosecturos improperly decided what charges to bring. The judge told the jurors to disregard that part, and he didnt wait until the end, he stopped him immediately after he said it.

He told the jury diddy bought the video from the hotel security not because something illegal happened, he wasnt worried about that, but to protect both their public images.

Agnifilo said Diddy wouldn't have released those sex tapes, sure he might have said it, but he never would have done it.

Oh and he said Diddy wouldn't set Kid Cudi's car on fire. Diddy was a man, and as a man he would have confronted him and fought him, because that's what men do.

I would be livid if I were Diddy. Agnifilo was very undherwhelming, and sometimes, IMO, insulted the intellegence of the jury.

Shall see who fell for what.

Guess they deliberate Monday? Rebuttals today/Friday or do they want to wait until Monday?

The prosecution is doing their rebuttal now. Jurors will receive instructions from the judge and start deliberating on Monday.

Such a bonehead comparison. Are you really this dumb?

You do realize there isn’t a salaried $1M private defense attorney job that one applies for, right? This sort of salary comes only to a rarefied few who manage to develop a stable of wealthy clients who pay them these sorts of fees.

Boneheaded? Dumb? Unclear what post you are responding to but your PP stated the senior rate of a criminal defense or prosecutor and if they’re working fulltime it easily backs in to a size figure salary per year. As stipulated.

As for who wants a government job/ comp versus private, I suppose that often comes down to being a go-getter, getting on big cases, and networking or having the balls to start your own firm / find your own clients.

Sure they all work hard and many hours but why not get paid more, if you’re worth more.

And before they ended, it happened again. Agnifilo said that the prosecution targeted diddy, and he's not supposed to say that. So the judge told jurors to disregard that statement, that it wasn't any of their concern or something for them to consider.

Diddy's son and Kanye are releasing an album tonight at midnight. Look at the song titles!

Diddy's team is going to flood the internet this weekend with a bunch of BS. They know the chances of the jurors coming across this stuff either by watching TV or scrolling social media are extremely high.

AUSA Comey: He coerced Cassie and Jane in to this - and nothing happened. He raped Mia - and nothing happened. He beat Cassie and nothing happened. He beat Cassie in hotel on tape, then bribed the guards to buy it - and nothing happened. He was untouchable
He did not think these woman would speak - and that Kid Cudi and Deonte Nash and other men would back them up. The defendant is not a God. He stands equal before the law. Find him guilty.

And that was how the prosecution finished up their rebuttal. The jurors have been released. I predict a verdict by Wednesday/Thursday.

Diddy's son was escorted out of court today for wearing a "Free Sean Combs" shirt underneath a sheer shirt.

If nothing else defense closing is funny as hell and probably worth the risk of asking why did they go after him and charge these crimes. A lot of this is voicing what some on the jury may be thinking. On the other hand his actions in total are so bad jury may want to find him guilty anyway.

I see what camp you are in PP.

Whhhooooosh over your head.

Nope, I see your point but it’s still a dumb statement. Prosecutors are typically quite talented lawyers. It’s not very high paying but is considered prestigious.

And there is always going to be the option for someone wealthy to pay an obscenely expensive lawyer for crim cases. But these people are few and far between. Very rare. Most crim clients depend on public defenders.
