Sean “Diddy” Combs accused of gang rape of teen girl in new lawsuit

Prosecutors are doing a great job in closing arguments. No doubt, the defense will also come with a strong closing argument.

Combs is a despicable misogynist. Trump will pardon him as soon as trump's offshore account is credited with a $$$$$$$$$$ transfer from Ditty.

Are govt criminal prosecutors paid like $200-300k a year total and private defense attorneys make $1000/hour and over $1m a year income?

Is there a big chasm between the talent on each side here? I mean if I was a super smart, driven, analytical, persuasive attorney why would I stay in the public sector? (Unless trust fund or high income spouse, and even then, I’m probably naturally competitive so…)

Such a bonehead comparison. Are you really this dumb?

You do realize there isn’t a salaried $1M private defense attorney job that one applies for, right? This sort of salary comes only to a rarefied few who manage to develop a stable of wealthy clients who pay them these sorts of fees.

Agnifilo charges $1000/hr of desk work, meeting, talking, emailing or being in court.

Why? Because he’s v good at his job. And that’s the market for attorneys v good at their job.

So now you put someone very well paid and “v good at their job” versus a public prosecutor overcharging and what keeps happening?

I don’t know. 30 days long cases in a courtroom plus a year of discovery and research and motions. Someone is paying for something!

I know I couldn't sleep at night if I were an attorney helping Sean Combs get out of a conviction.

Govt prosecutors make far less than that.

Just to respond on the point about talent: getting to be an AUSA in SDNY is one of the most competitive lawyer jobs there is. So no, I would not assume a “big chasm” between talent. Nor would I assume works less hard than a private practice lawyer.

I predict a guilty verdict and it won't take the jury very long to decide.

Every person deserves a defense, even if you think it's deplorable. Defense attorneys are a vital part of our justice system.

This is a bit too far, what a crock

Defense says 'complicated' relationship with Ventura was 'great modern love story'

Bet he’s convicted on sex trafficking and transporting prostitutes.

Agree. The defense closing statements are very disappointing. The judge even had to step in when Angifilo suggested that the prosecturos improperly decided what charges to bring. The judge told the jurors to disregard that part, and he didnt wait until the end, he stopped him immediately after he said it.

He told the jury diddy bought the video from the hotel security not because something illegal happened, he wasnt worried about that, but to protect both their public images.

Agnifilo said Diddy wouldn't have released those sex tapes, sure he might have said it, but he never would have done it.

Oh and he said Diddy wouldn't set Kid Cudi's car on fire. Diddy was a man, and as a man he would have confronted him and fought him, because that's what men do.

I would be livid if I were Diddy. Agnifilo was very undherwhelming, and sometimes, IMO, insulted the intellegence of the jury.
