Scratches were mentioned at the hearing, it is in DR media reports. But could be from a variety of events. If her body is not recovered he will either leave on 3/28 or be charged with a lesser crime.

Didn't read DR laws. What could a lesser crime be in your opinion? You think related to this case or something else while in DR? Has he visited country before?

It’s the call of the DR AG.

His lawyers thanked the court for observing the rule of law. Please link evidence of your assertions re scratches or lies in court.

There are none, just like there are no scratches seen in the videos that have been released. So many trolls.

I thought scratches were visible in the video of him walking back from the beach the next morning, no?

They were mentioned in court likely from direct LE observation, not just video. But can’t prove how he got them.

Good for him. I hope he succeeds. Either charge him or give him his passport back. It's been almost 2 weeks. Enough of this limbo. If they don't have the evidence to charge, then return the passport.

Sure. There are definitely a number of possible explanations for them, just trying to establish if they existed.

+1. I have no opinion on his guilt or innocence, but charge him or let him go. What they are doing is absurd.

Obviously they are trying to find her body. The chances of him actually being extradited at a later date is uncertain. They are clearly running the clock. Would be irregular for US to issue passport when DR is holding it and a hearing is scheduled, we will see what call they make.

Watch if interested Nancy Grace. Find it on YT. She questions if DR has and what basic methods they have or don't to collect and test evidence - DNA, a splatter of blood etc.. she says US should be there leading investigation and DR assisting not the other way around. Alas, it's not the U.S., Nancy.

Thank goodness US LE is involved, locals wanted to protect tourism.

If all of this happened in Florida, they could not hold him without charging him. And the US does extradite to the DR.

They can probably only go so far into the ocean to track her if she actually went into the water. Who leads those searches, DR police or US ones who are there - Loudoun county?

If it were up to Nancy Grace, the K9s would be from US of A. As would other investigative tools and methods, not DR's.

Technically. But in practice, questionable.

Per DR media, he has been moved to a different location and he is no longer at same resort.

Why would that be?

He’s likely ready for a change of scenery is my guess. As of yesterday he can move around DR and leave RR.
