Official Brett Kavanaugh Thread, Part 3

Friend also stated she was never at the party and never met BK. How do you work that out in your head?

DC writer on the claim that Devils Triangle is a drinking game:

“It’s one of the most blatant lies I’ve ever seen. It’s special among the lies because it’s not a simple denial. It’s a completely fake game that he invented whole cloth. Every guy who went to my D.C.-area high school knows what “devil’s triangle” means. I’m sure Brett Kavanaugh knows what it means, too. There is no reference to this “drinking game” on the entire internet or in the entire history of books written in English. There are, however, tons of references to the other act, an act that a high school jock would be into joking about. And it’s relevant to the crime because it’s literally what Ford is accusing Kavanaugh and Judge of attempting to do.”

This is spot on. Having grown up in the area and having played my share of quarters throughout the early 1980's, this is 100% accurate.

Yeah, I'm sure Mark Judge really appreciated being called a dysfunctional alcoholic and addict by his "best friend" on national TV.

That is how Mark Judge described himself in his book, “Wasted.” So you think nothing from Judge’s past should be exposed? Interesting double standard.

Three unverified, non-credible accusations.
Accusations are not evidence. There has been no evidence that any of the crap thrown at him is true.

I am 100% sure that Feinstein leaked the letter from Ford. All of her aides, and she herself, had said they didn’t, but I was there and I am 100% sure she did. I have no proof, but she did it.

You were there?

Yes. And, I am 100% sure she did it. It does not matter that the aides are not corroborating my story. She did it.

Poppycock.

Ford's friend leaked it.

I am sure it was Feinstein. 100% sure.

Okay.

I get your point, but I don't know how you think that proves Kavanaugh's innocence.

There is NOTHING except an allegation, from a seemingly troubled young woman (by her own admission) that any of this occurred. NOTHING.
An allegation from 36 years ago. An allegation from a woman whose details have conflicted and who won’t release any of her therapy notes.
It simply does not fit with his behavior over the past 36 years. Not when you have dozens of people - mostly women - speaking up about his impeccable character and his respectful treatment of women.

Your little pretend comparison doesn’t hold up.

"However, as my client has already made clear, she does not know Judge Kavanaugh and has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford," the letter from Howard Walsh, Keyser's attorney, said. It continued that Keyser "does not refute Dr. Ford's account, and she has already told the press that she believes Dr. Ford's account."

He has admitted being a recovering addict. The very reason he does not wish to testify publicly. His past is his to struggle with.
The FBI will talk to him.

Almost being raped causes some people trouble.

She seemed credible to most, including most Republicans. How many victims does Brett need to have come forward for you to find any of them credible? You’d give him a pass to ten? Is it 20 victims and you’d believe?

Feinstein recommended them. Hmmmmm......

Who recommended Kavanaugh's lawyers? Hmmmmm.......

The real question is why didn't Feinstein turn the allegation over to the FBI to investigate?

This has been answered ad nauseum. Ford asked her to keep it confidential. She only came forward once her identity was blown.

She wanted it kept confidential so she sent it to a senator (and tipped off the Washington Post)? You disclose it to your therapist or best friend if you want it kept completely private, not to a senator on the judiciary committee who has an obligation to report it to the rest of the committee and to the FBI for the nominee's background check at which time it could have been handled in a non-public manner.

Neither Feinstein nor her staff leaked.

From the writer at the Intercept

https://twitter.com/ryangrim/status/1045441295282556928

Feinstein's staff did not leak the letter to The Intercept

Nor did she or her staff leak the existence of the letter to The Intercept. After our story, she turned it over to the FBI, which placed it in his background file, which meant that it became widely available and soon after it was leaked to CNN

Oh, FFS. And, most Republicans, like myself, believe she has had some type of sexual assault in the past. But, not by Kavanaugh. In fact, I think whatever happened was much more serious and happened in her late teens, as her therapists notes have indicated.
How many “victims?” How about just ONE credible victim with some kind of corroborating evidence. We have seen nothing like that. You can trot out 20 people with allegations. That means nothing except that Democrats will indeed do whatever it takes to derail this nominee.

Does not know is present tense. The rest is that she doesn’t remember. Neither of these things contradict Ford. Your grasp on the English language is tenuous.

Thank you. Feinstein really screwed up. Big time.
