It was on sale at Whole Foods today so I bought almost 2lbs.
How do I cook it? I am so bad with beef for some reason. Thanks for any suggestions/recipes/links! |
| If it is shaped like one enormous steak, make up a spice rub and throw that meat on the grill = London Broil. Let rest hen cooked and slice thinly. |

Yep it's shaped like one enormous steak. We have a charcoal grill and it's too cold to stand outside and wait for it to light up. Wish we had a gas grill!
Can I do that in the oven? I have a cast iron skillet, not sure it would fit, though. |

I would chop it up and make broccoli and beef stir fry. ( I haven't made this one yet, but it is on my menu this week)
http://www.food.com/recipe/the-best-easy-beef-and-broccoli-stir-fry-99476 You could also make a hearty beef stew. I like this recipe a lot. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Kyles-Favorite-Beef-Stew/Detail.aspx |
| Stroganoff. |
| 2 lbs is but 2 portions for me. |
| Beef stew? If I can get my kids there this afternoon I'm going to pick some up. |
Could pan sear and then finish in oven. My DH grills in all but monsoons on our Weber and will be out there tonight. |
Brrr! Reminds me of an episode of the Cosby Show where Cliff Huxtable was grilling in some crazy weather

Grilling would be your best option. Sometimes we grill on the George Foreman inside, don't over cook, slice thin.
Stroganoff also a good suggestion. My DH loves it so much he calls it "stroke it off" |
| I like to pick up one of those 30 minute marinates and throw it on the grill. Bourbon steak, tequila & lime, garlic and chipotle, so many possibilities |
| I recently made some great chile with it, cubing it into pretty small pieces, searing the meat in small batches, and then cooking with the liquids for awhile. The searing took a bit of time but it was delicious. |

You can broil it in your oven and it'll be AMAZING.
Either do a marinade or just a salt and pepper rub. Rest it then slice thin. Leftovers are great in sandwiches! |
