Boneless Beef Sirloin Steak--what should I do with it?

I also bought the sirloin steak from whole foods today. I plan on making Chinese stir fry by using Szechuan spicy stir fry sauce.

Sprinkle both sides with salt, pepper, and the tiniest bit of sugar. Turn on the exhaust fan and preheat the cast iron skillet hot. Touch of oil in the skillet; sear both sides; finish in the oven. Let it rest 10 min. before serving. Up to you whether you serve as steaks on the plate, or slice first--if you slice first, slice thin, diagonally, against the grain. If your chef knife's not sharp, a serrated bread knife works well.

Growing up my mother would throw it in the oven and broil it without any seasoning or sauce. She wondered why we hated her cooking....

My dad grilled it on the Weber, and sprinkled on oregano along with the salt and pepper. I grew up thinking all steak should taste like oregano. (Try it--it's pretty good.)
