I agree with the PP about the lack of value in having teams at significantly different skill levels playing against each other. To me, this suggests at least some of the VRSC GA teams are somewhat better than I thought, otherwise BP would not scrimmage against them.

I'm not calling you anything. In the future VRSC may be better than NVA. I do not know. All I was saying, is they currently overall are not. However, it is to a team's benefit to scrimmage against a team that is better but not light years ahead of them.

Not sure which age groups scrimmaged this weekend with VDA/VRSC but didn't VDA beat VRSC's 'best' 2009 GA team to something of the scoreline of like 8-0 a few months back? Maybe that is a selling point over at VRSC, you get to scrimmage VDA and if you're good enough, you'll get to move up to VDA.

I appreciate all the things that VRSC does for our teams including scrimmaging teams like VDA or any other team. It's also nice to play in National Showcase tournaments and get exposure for our entire team. Several of the players may decide to play at the next level..

Not sure which age groups scrimmaged this weekend with VDA/VRSC but didn't VDA beat VRSC's 'best' 2009 GA team to something of the scoreline of like 8-0 a few months back? Maybe that is a selling point over at VRSC, you get to scrimmage VDA and if you're good enough, you'll get to move up to VDA.

They both played each other in the VDA Showcase back in February and it was 6-0 VDA. I heard that the 1st goal was scored in first 15 minutes and then they didn't score until 15 minutes into the 2nd half. Then it went downhill from there maybe VRSC was done because the last 4 goals which were corner kicks and turnovers were made in the last 20 minutes of the 2nd half. Either way it's great opportunity to play one of the strongest teams.

Rankings app has 2012, 2011, 2010, and 2009 GA teams ranked between 150 and 200 nationally. 2008s are upper 200s.

GA2 teams for those years are all 1000+ (in some cases, plus several hundred).

If there’s an odd player on a GA2 team who is ready for GA, they should get promoted next season, or if not they should go somewhere else where their talent will be recognized.

Given the massive gap between the GA and GA2 teams, call me skeptical.

It doesnt matter how much money VRSC throws at the problem. You need a history of winning and solid coaching. They have neither.

Are you talking about the scrimmage this past Sunday? It was the 09s but it wasn’t lopsided. Vda won but it was 5-3 with a good portion of the game being only down by 1.

They’re just replicating what FCV did on the girls side when they started that club 15 years ago. They topped LS once, they’ll do it again, only this time it will be boys too. If you weren’t worried, you wouldn’t be posting your drivel.

NVA is light years ahead of VRSC. I have seen VRSC teams play. 0 skills, 0 IQ and slow. sure
