Nobody is saying they believe they are just as good. Okay. Maybe some of the true believer zealot parents of VRSC think they are just as good.

However, one way to look at it is scrimmaging against a team that is a little better than you is good for the team. Scrimmaging against a team that is a lot worse, or will blow your doors off every time doesn't usually do a whole lot for the team.

You might call me a zealot, because I believe in the long-term vision at VRSC and their ability to execute against that vision because of the resources they have in place (first money, then a home complex, then quality coaches, and now national league platforms for both boys and girls). But I’ve been very clear in all of my posts that, as you would expect, they are still light years behind local ECNL teams in terms of talent. I agree with the PP about the lack of value in having teams at significantly different skill levels playing against each other. To me, this suggests at least some of the VRSC GA teams are somewhat better than I thought, otherwise BP would not scrimmage against them.

I'm not calling you anything. In the future VRSC may be better than NVA. I do not know. All I was saying, is they currently overall are not. However, it is to a team's benefit to scrimmage against a team that is better but not light years ahead of them.

NVA is light years ahead of VRSC. I have seen VRSC teams play. 0 skills, 0 IQ and slow. sure

On the girls side, NVA is miles ahead of VRSC. But they were light years ahead just last season. NVA girls are at best standing still and probably on the decline given the club’s decision to prioritize boys. VRSC’s first U13+ girls teams went from outside the top 2000 last season to being inside the top 200 this season. Yes, that’s still miles behind NVA, but their trajectories are different. My bet is that VRSC girls continue to get closer each season and catch NVA in 3-5 years. Boys will take longer as they didn’t get the same jumpstart from picking up the remnants of FCV. But one club is improving while the other is not. It will take a few years, but it is obvious how that will end to anyone looking at the situation objectively.

Not sure which age groups scrimmaged this weekend with VDA/VRSC but didn't VDA beat VRSC's 'best' 2009 GA team to something of the scoreline of like 8-0 a few months back? Maybe that is a selling point over at VRSC, you get to scrimmage VDA and if you're good enough, you'll get to move up to VDA.

They both played each other in the VDA Showcase back in February and it was 6-0 VDA. I heard that the 1st goal was scored in first 15 minutes and then they didn't score until 15 minutes into the 2nd half. Then it went downhill from there maybe VRSC was done because the last 4 goals which were corner kicks and turnovers were made in the last 20 minutes of the 2nd half. Either way it's great opportunity to play one of the strongest teams.

Pretty sure it was 09 again. It was ugly for VRSC. Lost track of the score because it was so one sided.

VRSC won't get better until they give fair evaluations to all the in-house talent. Multiple GA2 teams have better talent than the GA1 teams.

Are you talking about the scrimmage this past Sunday? It was the 09s but it wasn’t lopsided. Vda won but it was 5-3 with a good portion of the game being only down by 1.

It was a lot of VDA 2010’s and some 2011’s and 2009’s.

What are you so afraid of? If you think VRSC is not a thing, then why does it bother you? You need to start thinking about why we are bothering you this much.

NVA is dead after this year. They will have 1-2 decent teams next year but they will go the way of TSJ. Fruity

Eckart started VRSC with the sole purpose of eliminating NVA lol

Funny how parents from a neighboring club that is showing every sign of being a sinking ship come on here to ridicule a club that is showing every sign of thriving.

Yes, clubs with a history of winning always stay at the top forever. Nothing ever changes and new clubs and new coaches never emerge.
again you have neither. Need at least one.

Go back to your NVA/LS drama thread please. No one cares for your continual trolling here.
not a LS parent. Just watching the disaster unfold of spending money and not hiring quality. I guess they could offer all the good girls in area free dues and then they could actually get better.

Not hiring quality? Name me the local GA club that you think has a better coaching slate next year than VRSC.

Obviously NVA/LS 😂 VRSC lives completely rent free way too many parent's and local club staff's heads.

Didn’t all the NVa girls jump ship to other clubs in the area?

Now that both clubs ar GA, we'll know team by team which is better starting in the fall. This includes the GA2 teams.

And let's talk about their development... which consistently competitive boys or girls team have RVSC actually developed themselves? We're not counting those GA girls they "acquired" from STJ with Christian, because that's a finite pipeline. Once those players graduate, RVSC will be facing a harsh reality check. Their day of reckoning is coming bc they cant develop players or teams on their own. LOL

I bet he would love to get LSP and toss up a banner kicking out NVA/LS like he did with Barca.
