Any word from Arlington?

Why hasn’t Arlington communicated it’s plans to us? What is the delay?

Well it’s the contract you signed. You are not to talk to a coach for two days after a game/tournament and the club will not talk to you for two months after the collapse of youth soccer.

This is BS. No professionally operated league or club is going to communicate the inner details of negotiations, especially during the process. I pay money to a variety of businesses and organizations and don't expect that level of detail. Does the company or entity you work for do this? No. If you want that information then join your league or club's board, or join the technical staff.

I assume it's because they stlll haven't worked out what they're doing. From all the rumors on this board they may well be deadlocked internally. It sounds like management may well want to send both boys and girls to ECNL, but I could well see the boys DA coaching staff basically refusing to go along with this. Just to be clear - this is entirely speculation on my part. I have no indside knowledge here at all.

LOL yes that’s the best way to treat your customers. They will never leave! Hell no other club is calling your players(customers) right now!

Why would ECNL let Arlington in and not Metro United?

This cannot be a serious comment.

They are trying to put the best options together. And, they have not obtained their goal yet. If they had, they would announce it. But the longer it takes the worse the options usually get. If ECNL was certain on them for both boys and girls it would be done by now. They are not. The boys had DA longer than the girls. So assume the boys get ECNL. The girls don’t have a long history of placing kids in D1 versus McLean or Bethesda. So assume that is not in the bag. Give them a break. There are many ex DA teams in the same situation. An answer is coming. You may not like it if you have a boy or girl, but it’s coming.

Arlington is a real club with good coaches, fields, and a player pool. Metro United is a joke.

What on earth are you talking about? Metro United is hands down better than Arlington - boys and girls - at every age group. Anybody who knows anything knows that much at least.

Agree. The original question is a good one though, considering Metro has a very good training program, coaching staff, and hasn’t upset ECNL in any way.

Avtually I'm not the OP here. That was just my way of saying that the first post was a troll

Metro United was in last place in virtually every age group when a part of DA and they had several younger girls playing up (06 year for example). They will be lucky to join GAL if invited.
